Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager on behalf of a well-established and rapidly expanding business based in Shrewsbury on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, this is an exciting opportunity for a an experienced and reliable Management Accountant to step in and run a dynamic and friendly team of 6-8 transactional staff, and be the first POC for day-to-day queries, assist the Financial Controller to deliver the budget process, prepare the management accounts, assist with the year end audit and provide high quality financial information to aid strategic decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month/year end process ownership
- Management accounts preparation
- Fixed Asset and HP maintenance
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- VAT Return
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Assisting with budget preparation
- Preparation for year-end audits
- Team management
The ideal candidate will be studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or be Qualified by Experience with a minimum of 5 years' experience producing management accounts in a fast paced environment. You must have a proven track record of team leadership and business partnering, with a high level of Excel proficiency.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break on-site at Shrewsbury.
