Our client hasan exciting opportunity for a Data Centre Operations Service Planner to join their team in London to start as soon as possible. You will join them on a full time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum per annum + excellent benefits (travel allowance, bonus scheme, private healthcare).

In the UK their Docklands data centre campus facilitates the majority of the London Internet Exchange's (LINX) capacity, meaning that they support a huge proportion of all UK internet traffic, making their Docklands campus a globally important internet hub.

The Data Centre Operations Service Planner role overview

Data Centre Operations Service Planner will provide support in planning and coordinating of all maintenance requests and workflows, as well as provide general administrative assistance to the Data Centre Operations Department. Utilising the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) Software System and acting as a System Administrator for the CAFM software.

Key tasks of their Data Centre Operations Service Planner:

  • To create high-level plans/maintenance schedules for activities taking place across the data centre campus.
  • To monitor and track department projects and report on progress, highlighting risk and possible delays. This involves keeping Planning Manager informed about milestones ensuring projects stay on track.
  • To support in the preparation of customer audits and providing evidence on maintenance activities and completed works to demonstrate end to end close out
  • To update daily FM shift attendance register providing highlights of gaps in attendance.
  • To support the auditing of the CAFM system to ensure the integrity of the data held within the CAFM system is up-to-date and accurately maintained, at all times.
  • To track and oversee the FM provider's delivery of PPMs and Reactive works
  • To review assets (current and new) created on CAFM to ensure correct set up of contractual planned works for third party sub-contractors and current FM provider
  • To ensure newly handed over assets are correctly set up on the CAFM system, for example naming convention, location, PPM frequency and Instruction sets.
  • To assist with ensuring the PPM Change Control tracker is kept up to date
  • To ensure 3rd party service reports are received against each scheduled maintenance task, track against maintenance schedule highlighting gaps and risk
  • To assist and participate with creating regular weekly maintenance audits schedule with DC Ops team and FM provider. Support the tracking of tasks and follow up actions.
  • To liaise with DC Ops team to review completed works to ensure the smooth approval of the monthly FM billing application
  • To support the wider DC Ops team on processing orders.

Essential requirements they're looking for in their Data Centre Operations Service Planner:

  • Experience of project planning/scheduling and reporting
  • Experience in the data centre sector or telecommunications.
  • 2-4 years' experience in a Facilities Maintenance co-ordination role
  • Knowledge and/or experience working in an ITIL environment
  • Preferably experience in Asset Management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of company personnel and clients
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner and show sensitivity
  • Ability to work accurately, with good attention to detail prioritising skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent planning skills

  • Problem-solving skills
