Senior Merchandiser - Activewear brand - MAT COVER

We are recruiting for a Senior Merchandiser to join an innovative activewear brand. This role will be a 9-12 month FTC (Mat cover).

As a Senior Merchandiser you will be working closely with our Head of Merchandising to support the growth of the company We are looking for a candidate already operating at an experienced Merchandiser level within a fast paced retail business, experience in DTC private label is a must.

When you're not busy planning and managing stock levels, you'll also be looking after intake and focusing on sales performance. You'll be part of the go-to team for many other business areas, and should have experience in building cross-functional relationships and multitasking.

Some responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the WSSI, driving out key findings based on performance. Reviewing consistently in line with trading performance.
  • Planning of budgets by category, option count, and depth of buy based on the overall business and financial goals of the company.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure products are launched in a timely manner, we are fully in stock of continuity lines, and highlight any risk.
  • Review sales forecasts based on performance, and action re-forecasts.
  • Analyse and monitor best and worst sellers and makes informed recommendations for action as well as restocks as necessary.
  • Oversee stock and intake management, be main point of contact for suppliers.
  • Manage and drive development of Assistant Merchandiser and Administrator
  • Creating ad hoc reports - therefore Advanced Excel skills are a must

About YOU:

  • Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse & collate info from various sources
  • Commercially aware and business focussed
  • Able to manage & motivate your team to achieve both individual and team goals
  • Excellent understanding of all MS Office products especially Excel

The office is based in London and offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).
