Role Summary
- To manage, supervise and carry out the servicing, repair, installation and maintenance to a comprehensive range of equipment systems, building facilities & vehicles. Manage, supervise and organise projects and staff.
Key Responsibilities and Task
- Overhaul, Servicing, Repair, Installation and cleaning of equipment, vehicles and marine/ships systems components.
- Train, supervise, organise and lead staff under your control.
- Plan and organise projects on behalf of the Transport and Operations Managers
- Understand and be able to put into action Pack Procedures
- Ensure all tasks are conducted in accordance with Environmental Services quality procedures and to customer satisfaction
- Ensure accurate completion of jobs, reports and paperwork, including signing off the work with the customer
- Local waste management/by-product removals & disposal in accordance with Environmental Services Quality and Governmental Environmental policies
- Keep up to date with and ensure compliance with current H&S and waste legislation.
- Ultrasonic cleaning, wet blasting and HP jet washing of equipment and associated parts
- Use of workshop machinery and equipment relating to your work
- Understand and implement Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH regulations to ensure you and your team adheres to at all times
- Responsible for PPE and company equipment
- Travel to customer premises for works, information, gathering and direct communication, at all times promoting and maintaining the required company standards
- Undertake surveys and report writing on job specific tasks
- Responsible for yours and others Health & Safety.
- Assist with surveys and reports
Skills & Experience
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering, ships systems and maintenance
- Excellent working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001
- Ability to comprehensively understand customer requirements of tasks
- Ability to liaise confidently with relevant customers
Training & Qualifications
- Engineering/fitting experience with the relevant qualification
- Minimum 1 year's experience working on vehicles and/or marine/ships systems and equipment
- Environmental and spill control/Response training
