Working closely with the partners to take an active role in the growth of the practice through identification of opportunities and involvement in the business development process and offer you progression to partnership.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary focus of the role will be to provide accounting and business advisory services to our client base. Reporting to the partners, duties will include:

  • Prepare and review the accounts and related tax computations for sole traders, partnerships, charities, limited companies and LLP's;
  • Manage your own portfolio of clients, including correspondence, telephone calls and meetings.
  • Full responsibility of the Junior team including having full overall responsibilities of ensuring smooth delivery of all compliance services such as micro accounts, management accounts, book-keeping, VAT returns, CIS and payroll services.
  • Support the partners with ad hoc work such as tax and strategic planning.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified.
  • Due to the nature of this role, a strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards and UK GAAP is essential, and the successful applicant would be required to undertake any other tasks that are deemed appropriate within the scope of the role.
  • You will have experience of statutory accounts preparation gained in a Practice environment.
  • Good IT experience including Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Microsoft Office and statutory compliance systems.
  • Experience of managing portfolio of clients and managing a team.
