The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join a leading Nuclear Defence company based out of Aldermaston.
Job Overview:
Provide designs for the Facility Design Authority (FDA) such that utilities, infrastructure, engineering processes, equipment and facilities are compliant with legislation, standards and requirements associated with engineering design throughout the facility lifecycle.
Some of your duties will include:
- Deliver designs that address defined requirements, across the full engineering lifecycle, to a high standard.
- Ensure the design intent is maintained throughout the lifecycle, liaising with discipline specialists to ensure overall design intent is maintained.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations and safety standards.
- Maintenance of Design Change Registers and ensuring appropriate levels of configuration control are applied.
What do you need to succeed?
- ONC / OND or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline.
- HNC / HND in relevant engineering discipline
- Membership of an engineering institution.
- Incorporated Engineer or equivalent academic / vocational qualification.
- Autodesk Inventor. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Working knowledge of legislation and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.
- Building Information Modelling.
- Knowledge of legislation and standards associated with nuclear and / or high hazard facilities.
