The role of the Project Buyer is to drive and track the purchased material requirements on behalf of the Project Purchasing team.

Description
- Drive the tracking, coordination and reporting of the purchased material requirements for new manufacturing projects within the constraints of a programme schedule.
- For the purpose of satisfying Pre-Production, Development & Prototype parts where required for a Programme :-
- To issue and monitor RFP/Q's to specific suppliers using available engineering data
- Review and selection of suppliers based on proposals/quotations received.
- Using MRP data to raise necessary PO's
- Report material costs vs budget targets and identify potential cost avoidance.
- Track and resolve purchased material issues, organize transport / airfreight where required.
- Manage programme purchased inventory including initiating and diligently executing material disposition.
Profile
Able to demonstrate technical understanding and enthusiasm to deliver into the programme.
Proven delivery of procurement strategies/ projects
Project / Programme management experience.
To effectively use MRP & Baan (Or a similar ERP system)
