Role: Category Manager
Rate: £400 - £500 p/d
Location: Manchester
Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Category Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Manchester on a temporary basis. The role will be within the Construction category.
Role:
- Undertake end to end tender processes in accordance with Contract Procedure Rules
- Provide specialist procurement advice to a range of stakeholders whilst mentoring junior staff members
- Liaise with stakeholders of all levels on a regular basis to ensure that procurement plans are in place and adhered to
- Providing advice, guidance, and support on small value procurement to enable services to successfully procure goods and services
- Support the Procurement Manager by proactively resolving problems and identifying new and innovative solutions which meet the needs of users
- Ensure a high level of procurement and market intelligence in order to implement best procurement practice
- To provide and deliver contract performance management meetings
- To analyse framework agreements and collaboration arrangements detailing benefits and issues in relation to the needs of the organisations, providing expert advice to which procurement route is most viable
Person:
- Strong understanding of Public Contract Regulations
- NEC/JCT contract knowledge
- End to end tendering experience
- Familiar with category related procurement strategies
- MCIPS desirable
