Welsh Teacher

Reed Education North Wales are working with a Secondary school in Denbigh, we are recruiting for Welsh Language Teacher to teach KS 3 and 4 Welsh as a second language. This role is full time and is due to start September 2024. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching Welsh and be committed to providing a high-quality learning experience for students.

Responsibilities:

Teach Welsh as a second language to students of all ages and abilities up to GCSE level.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and motivate students
Develop and implement Welsh curriculum that meets the needs of students and the school
Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents
Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Welsh education, incorporating new techniques and technologies into teaching practice where appropriate
Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and self-expression

Requirements:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
Relevant degree or diploma in Welsh education or related field
Proven experience teaching Welsh to students of all ages and abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development
