Engineering Technician

It is an exciting time to be joining Dynex as we are in currently undertaking a range of exciting projects, which you can be part of . We are looking for an Engineering Technician (known internally as a IGBT Assembly Process Technician) to join our small team in Lincoln, supporting on an array of projects focusing on improving our current manufacturing processes for our IGBT product range.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Keen to find a role that offers a challenge and an opportunity to learn? Reporting to the Senior Engineer, this role includes but is not limited to:
  • Undertaking activities that support increased knowledge and understanding of each of the processes carried out within IGBT Assembly and Test department.
  • Assisting on a range of projects regarding process improvements i.e. cost, efficiencies, yield.
  • Inspecting, analysing, and troubleshooting production activities related to the manufacturing process.
  • Reading equipment manuals, and supporting in regular maintenance tasks, and calibration of equipment.
  • Support in the preparation of documentation of Manufacturing Instructions and Risk assessments, ensuring these are reviewed regularly and up to date with current requirements.
  • Test setup, running the tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations.
  • Assist in writing up reports regarding data trends on experimental activity, team progress as and when required.

ABOUT YOU:

  • We are looking for someone who is passionate about furthering a career in the Electrical & Electronic Engineering, specifically within Assembly and Test. This role would suit an individual who enjoys problem solving and continuous improvement. You will have a dedication to quality and excellence in all aspects of your work, aiming to constantly learn and improve. To be considered for the role you require:
  • 3 A-Levels Grade A-C or equivalent.
  • L3 qualification in an Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline, would be advantageous.
  • Recent experience in within a manufacturing environment would be preferred.
  • Ability to present and analyse test data.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Packages.
  • Effectively communicate with specialist and non-specialist colleagues.
