Assistant Project Manager

Here at Havebury Housing, we are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our fantastic Development Team! This role supports the Director of Development and Deputy Chief Executive and wider development team as an assistant project manager. You will be expected to represent the organisation externally with residents and consultants in order to help meet the development objective to provide new affordable homes.

Requirements

Outline of Key Responsibilities...

  • To assist with the implementation of quality control procedures covering contractor performance, building defects, post contract site visit inspections on your own or alongside other Development Team members, including Senior Project Managers and Project Managers
  • Attend site meetings and handovers where necessary
  • Develop productive working relationships with consultants and contractors where required ensuring a high standard of probity and integrity
  • Co-ordinate and monitor checking and verification of all handover documents to ensure they are correct and the necessary fields on gas, electric, etc. certificates have been completed
  • Co-ordinate, attend and follow up on all snagging and de-snagging items to ensure that all properties are defect free before final handover
  • Effective use of project management and project appraisal tools/software to ensure successful delivery of projects

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Either studying or prepared to undertake a construction related qualification at level 4 or above
  • An understanding of the construction process
  • Competent with Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Ability to plan and manage own workload
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to produce and present reports
  • Excellent written and communication skills
