Accounts Payable Assistant - About The Role
Our client, a well-known and exciting business based in Guildford, is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their Accounts team on a temporary basis as soon as possible. This is a fully office-based role and free parking is provided. The successful individual will have solid Accounts Payable knowledge and experience, including processing purchase orders and reconciling invoices, and will be able to meet the expected demands of the business and provide a high-quality service to the business and suppliers.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Dealing with supplier queries via phone and email
- Investigating discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices
- Coding and processing all invoices received in the business
- Controlling and monitoring the authorisation of invoices
- Managing the Accounts Payable inbox
- General ad-hoc accounts duties as and when requested
The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will have/be:
- A wealth of solid Accounts Payable experience, including coding and processing a high volume of invoices on a daily basis
- Experience of processing purchase orders, reconciling invoices and resolving queries
- An excellent work ethic, attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Organised and used to working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be a driver due to location and able to travel to Guildford on a daily basis with ease
