The children attending this school are both Neurotypical and Neuro-diverse, and so you must be able to support students who have Autism, Complex Needs, ADHD and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. As a result, the can have attachment issues and the children can present difficult and challenging behaviour, and require nurturing and unconditional positive regard.

Your Role
- Supporting a range of vulnerable children between the ages of 4 - 11
- Be able to appropriately calm children down and de-escalate
- Be able to effectively behaviour manage
- Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
- Providing feedback to teachers and parents
- Be available - Full time - 8.30am - 4pm

- Outgoing and mentoring manner
- Enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential
- You will be expected to think on your feet and be proactive, no day is the same in a Special School, so being prepared is vital.
- Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils
