Up to £45,000 depending on experience, plus benefits

Hybrid working: Onsite near Portsmouth 2 days per week

We are looking a passionate and innovative Data Insights Analyst to join the Data & Analytics Team for a well-established business on the South Coast.

This well-regarded team are growing, so we are looking for a driven and analytically minded Data Analyst who has good experience working with a variety of data analytics products, techniques, and tooling.

In this role you will maintain a range of existing data analytics products as well as work on a variety of small and large projects to develop new products, taking responsibility for delivery of work packages across the full project lifecycle. You will work with the team and wider business to expand the self-serve products on offer, and champion existing products to drive adoption.

As such we are looking for someone who is analytically minded and who loves researching and troubleshooting problems to come up with new solutions.

Essential Skills & Expertise:

  • Degree level education in a relevant subject (e.g. data analytics, mathematics, statistics, computer science) or demonstrable and credible work experience in data and analytics to that level. Strong SQL programming skills and some experience of programming in Python
  • Expert level Excel skills. Using a range of tools and techniques for report building, ad-hoc queries and data mining.
  • Data analysis, profiling, cleaning, transforming, enrichment, and modelling.
  • Working with diverse and complex data sets and a range of different data types
  • Data transformation and data preparation using tooling such as Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or Python.
  • Developing interactive dashboards that are simple and intuitive using modern data visualisation tools - strong Tableau experience would be a plus
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practises relevant to Data Analytics products

Nice to have:

  • Working with cloud-based data warehouse, data lake architectures and cloud technologies relevant to Data Analytics
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Machine Learning (ML)
