Geography/Humanities Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in Rochdale. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Humanities - Geography and is eager to make a significant impact on students' academic and personal growth.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative Geography lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 teaching experience would be advantageous.
- Utilise strong subject knowledge to inspire and motivate students.
- Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and academic standards.
- Participate in and organise extracurricular activities such as clubs, social activities, and educational visits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree level qualification in Geography or a related subject.
- Recent and relevant experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4; KS5 is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management skills and subject knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire trust and confidence in students and colleagues.
- Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
- A strong ethos of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
