Shift Engineer
Vanta Staffing Reading are recruiting for a Shift Engineer to work for our prestigious client based in the Reading area. The client is seeking an experienced Shift Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in your career and join a well- established and successful team.
Requirements of a Shift Engineer:
- Supporting the Head of Engineering (HOE) in ensuring effectiveness of plant machinery, maintenance and utilities
- To undertake proactive and reactive maintenance activities under the direction of the HOE
- Mechanical and electrical qualifications
Details:
- Salary: £46,575
- Working hours: 4 on 4 off - 12 hour shifts / Will be 2 days & 2 Nights - 7am start (Days) / 7pm start (Nights)
- Location: Reading
- Duration: Permanent
Role of a Shift Engineer:
- To take a full and active role in the operation of the Engineering Department.
- Fixing faults on plant machinery or arranging for replacements to be installed.
- To assist with the implementation of all planned preventative maintenance activities.
- To be pro-active in seeking remedies to minimise any down time which may affect the operation of the production facility.
