Phonics Teaching Assistant

Location: Hackney
Contract: September 24 - Full Academic Year
Full Time - Monday - Friday 8:30- 3:30 (term time only)
Reeson Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and friendly Primary School who are seeking a confident and experienced Phonics Teaching Assistant from September 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of phonics lessons and interventions.
- Work with small groups of students to provide targeted phonics support.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
- Create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Support classroom management and organization during phonics sessions.
- Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualification or experience in phonics interventions
- Experience working with primary school children and have a can do attitude!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for helping children develop essential reading skills.
