Network Engineer x 2
We are looking for Network and Security Engineers to join a forward thinking and rapidly expanding business, the company offers home based / hybrid working and so anyone living in Greater Manchester / the North West and willing to commute to the head office in Lancaster a mininum of 1 day a week will be considered.
As a Network Security Engineer, you will help to implement and support network and security architecture for enterprise organisations. The role will be varied and provide opportunity to work with the latest technology, offering real scope for progression and development including paid for professional certifications and the opportunity to be promoted to more senior roles within the business.
Ideal Skills and Experience (not all essential):
- Experience supporting / implementing a range of Network and Security products and services
- Cisco, Juniper, HPE, Aruba or Checkpoint experience would be ideal
- Routing, switching, Wireless network installation / configuration / maintenance
- WAN / LAN / Wireless LAN / Security / TCP/IP / Routing Protocols / L2 / L3
- Fault diagnosis and ability to troubleshoot
- Any knowledge of the following would also be beneficial: web filtering, email security, unified threat management, two factor authentication, VPN, PCI-DSS, ISO27001, fibre technologies, SD-WAN
Most importantly, a positive attitude along with the desire and ability to learn new technologies quickly is essential, as training and development (including professional certifications such as JNCIP / CCNP / NSE4) will be invested in the successful Network Security Engineers.
