IT Support Engineer

Our client is currently hiring for an On-site IT Support Engineer to be based in Stockport four days per week and work remotely one day. They're looking for someone with at least one year of First-line IT Support experience working on a helpdesk, supporting non-technical users. The type of person we're looking for will be team-focused, well-presented, articulate, and able to communicate at all levels. This role requires a broad technical skill set (first/second line) as you will be working with a small team of likeminded Support Engineers.

Basic Job Responsibilities

Provide first and second-line support to onsite users and external customers via phone, email, or in-person for IT-related issues.
Office 365 Administration and Support
Active Directory user management
Support Surface Pro users
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity problems.
Troubleshoot technical issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
Assist with software installations and upgrades
Set up user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions in Active Directory and other systems.
Document support tickets and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
Pursue required Microsoft Certifications.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in a similar technical support role.
Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
