The exciting opportunity

In this role, as a motor Desktop Engineer, you will providing technical guidance to claims teams across the company in accordance with industry standards. As part of the Engineering team, you will be delivering excellent service to all customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating settlement of motor vehicles damage claims, supporting claims teams with concise information as well as liaising with customers directly where required.
  • Providing technical guidance to the claims teams in accordance with agreed service levels and on occasions other areas within the business.
  • Supporting the claims team, making decisions on relation to the vehicle damage.
  • Making and communicating decisions when managing repairs, total losses, valuation disputes, cases involving unrelated damage, complaints and applying policy conditions/limits.
  • Always ensuring your advice is compliant with guidelines and other relevant standards/ regulations.
  • Continued professional development in line with legislative changes.

Your skills and experience:

  • Previous Desktop Engineering experience is required for this role.
  • Qualifications must include, AQP.
  • Desired qualifications would include IAEA, MIMI or ATA VDA.
  • Experience within agricultural claims would be advantageous.
  • Professional communication skills, written and oral.
  • Good IT skills with ability to use Audatex, bespoke systems and software packages.
