£430 per day inside IR35

Our major client in the Energy industry is looking for an experienced Portfolio Analyst to join their team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Carry out day-to-day activities for delivery core functions including collation of RAID, resource , finance, planning data, and other MI
  • Provide secretariat services including meeting logistics, preparation of minutes, and following up on actions
  • Adhere to all reporting standards and instigate improvements where identified
  • Provide support and guidance to delivery leads in tracking their budgets.
  • Monitor compliance with reporting / financial standards and intervene when this deviates or slips
  • Manage production and consolidation of reports, using appropriate templates and tools meeting relevant deadlines
  • Maintain portfolio policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance to Delivery Leads with day to day running of project governance processes and methodologies.
  • Liaise with Delivery Leads in respect of commercial engagement and/or billing enquiries
  • Help protect from cyberattack and data loss by following standards and instructions and by reporting risks and incidents

Business Knowledge
Background in Portfolio Office functions, using collaborative skills in coaching others and managing reporting cycle on large projects; in particular for Agile delivery

Essential Functional / Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge in delivery governance
  • Good understanding of end-to-end lifecycle delivery
  • Project management methodology (e.g. Agile, Prince2, PMP, APM)
  • Project Cost Accounting fundamentals
  • A solid understanding of IT products, services & systems e.g. ADO for Agile project delivery
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally ADO
  • Experience in applying various waterfall (e.g. Prince2, APM, PMP) and Agile methodologies and supporting context, such as governance, process and culture across different levels of portfolio
  • High level knowledge of development processes, including but not limited to DevOps, Scrum, Kanban and lean development
