Database Developer - MongoDB - Postgress - Infrastructure as Code - AWS CDK - Ansible - 6 month contract - outside IR35
I am looking for a skilled Database Developer to join a busy team with our public sector client.
In this role, you will be working on various projects, e.g. upgrading existing database systems and leading the migration of legacy on-premise databases to an AWS cloud environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong background in Database Development and delivery with experience of MongDB, Postgres, Oracle, Informix etc.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible and infrastructure management tools such as AWS CDK and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in working with AWS services including IAM, S3, EC2, RDS, and OpenSearch/ElasticSearch.
- Skilled in using monitoring tools like CloudWatch and Grafana to ensure database health and performance.
- Proven experience of delivering high-quality software as part of cross-skilled teams.
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives.
- Experience in Agile development environments, particularly with Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Experience of defining Infrastructure as Code and testing Disaster Recovery plans.
- Knowledge of data replication and high-availability technologies would also be an advantage.
