Well established investment business based in the Preston area requires a Fund Manager to oversee client/investments in the Lancashire area.
My client has nearly 40 years of investing in businesses to encourage local economic growth. It exists principally to provide debt and equity investment to aspirational high growth companies across Lancashire; and, to support, educate and facilitate connectivity for these businesses to achieve their full potential.
This is a newly created role looking for someone who has working in Financial Services/Banking who has a strong background in relationship management of similar clients. The right candidate for this role will relish the autonomy and freedom this position will bring. You will be a key part of a small team leading the next exciting chapter in the evolution of the business. Each day in this role is different, from engaging with ambitious entrepreneurs with innovative growth plans to collaborating with professional partners.
The role involves various elements, from reviewing financial statements and reports to presenting at events, boards, and committees. It includes long-term relationship management, capturing impact measures resulting from investment and wider support, and working with various investors and funders.
The role also entails engaging with the extensive range of business support solutions available through partners. The role will be both 'front' and 'back of house'. You will be both an ambassador for the business and the day-to-day contact point for those businesses who have successfully secured funding, as well as instrumental in the decision-making process under which applicants can be funded.
