We are currently working with a global financial institution to recruit an automation engineer on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver and other tools.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test automation frameworks for various projects.
- Collaborate with manual testers and developers to identify test scenarios for automation.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) to ensure continuous testing.
- Analyze and document test results and provide detailed reports on quality metrics.
- Debug test failures and provide solutions to improve test stability and coverage.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and performance testing.
- Work closely with DevOps and developers to improve test environments and strategies.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in test automation and QA methodologies.
To be considered for this role you will be require to possess the following technical skills:
- 5 years proven experience with Selenium and JAVA Programming
- Familiarity with **CI/CD tools** (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Experience with version control systems like **Git**.
- Understanding of **Agile methodologies** and working in Scrum/Kanban teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
This role will be hybrid with 3 days working from the office in Belfast. Although the role is initially for a 12-month period there is a high possibility of extension.
