Due to growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional with client money experience to manage day-to-day client money responsibilities with oversight from the Financial Controller and Head of Compliance. The role will also evolve to include other day-to-day tasks within the finance department as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily client money and custody asset reconciliations for approval (and external reconciliations as required)
- Implement and provide day-to-day oversight of client money processes across the business
- Ensure compliance with CASS rules and regulations
- Perform daily client money calculations
- Maintain accurate records of all client money transactions
- Liaise with external auditors for the annual CASS audit
- Provide regular reports to senior management on client money status
- Develop and maintain internal controls to protect client money
- Ensure timely distribution of client money
- Conduct periodic and event-driven reconciliations
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a finance role with a focus on client money management
- Strong knowledge of CASS rules and regulations
- Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills
- Ability to develop and maintain robust internal controls
- Experience in liaising with external auditors
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with senior management
- Attention to detail and accuracy
The ideal candidate will come from a strong CASS background and be a qualified accountant with 5+ years of experience working in an FCA-regulated environment with management and financial reporting experience.
