Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Job Description:
Our client in the Education sector is seeking a dedicated Engineering Assessor to join their growing team. This remote-working position offers the opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the future of the engineering industry by supporting apprentices in achieving their qualifications.
This role involves supporting apprentices in gaining the necessary skills and knowledge to meet engineering apprenticeship standards. You will be responsible for:

  • Assessment of apprentice work
  • Tracking off-the-job training progress
  • Supporting apprentices with English and maths development
  • Monitoring apprentice progress throughout their program
  • Ensuring apprentices meet all apprenticeship requirements
  • Visiting apprentices in the workplace
  • Liaising with employers, mentors, and college staff

Qualifications:

  • Experience in engineering, preferably utilities sector or a related field
  • Experience working with young people and apprentices
  • Minimum Level 4 qualification in an engineering discipline
  • Assessor's award V1, TAQA or equivalent (essential)
  • Teaching qualification (desirable)
