We are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority who are looking to recruit a Principal Auditor on a permanent basis.
This will be a full-time position based in the South West, with hybrid working (dependent on business needs) and a salary of £45,000 to £48,000 per annum.
The ideal candidate will be CCAB qualified and have experience in Local Authority Audits.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Holding responsibility for end to end audit process for one of the Councils within the Shared Service
- Managing a small team of Auditors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of audits
- Producing written reports to a high standard, presenting issues, conclusions and recommendations as necessary
- Developing, leading, and managing audit reviews, including Value for Money (VFM), Consultancy, fraud and special investigations
Experience required:
- Previous experience in Local Authority audits
- CCAB qualification is highly desirable
