Venn Group's specialist legal team is excited to be recruiting for a Commercial and Procurement Lawyer on behalf of a well-regarded Council in Home Counties. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work either full-time or part-time, making it ideal for candidates seeking a balanced work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Contracts: Provide legal advice, drafting, and negotiation for a variety of commercial contracts to support the council's operations.
  • Procurement Matters: Guide the council through procurement processes, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to best practices.
  • Construction Contracts: Utilize your experience in construction contracts to support the council's infrastructure and development projects.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with various departments within the council to deliver comprehensive legal support.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commercial and procurement law, ideally within the public sector.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts is highly desirable.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
  • Flexibility to manage a varied caseload in either a part-time or full-time capacity.

This role offers a competitive rate of up to £60 per hour under an umbrella arrangement, providing flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within a Council.
