Robertson Bell are excited to partner exclusively with this meaningful charity as they go to market for a Part-Time Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. In this Part-Time Accounts Assistant role, you will:

  • Have full ownership of the purchase ledger, handling 30 monthly invoices from billing to authorising with codes, organising payment runs, and generating creditor reports.
  • Facilitate month-end procedures, including compiling petty cash spreadsheets, closing the purchase ledger monthly, analysing administration costs, and ensuring compliance with strict month-end deadlines for trustee reports.
  • Assist in year-end activities, including a two-week remote audit by managing all sample testing such as bank statements and providing breakdowns of incomes streams.
  • Responsible for raising sales invoices, conducting daily bank statement downloads, and actively participating in system testing for new system implementation.

Paying up to £30,000 FTE and offering a part-time working pattern of three days, you will also benefit from a flexible working pattern and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be part-qualified ACCA (or equivalent) or in the final stages your AAT qualification.
  • Have experience working in a similar role and have a background overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Be a confident communicator and be happy to liaise with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Have intermediate Excel skills and an understanding of VLOOKUP's and pivot tables.
  • Be well versed in debits and credits and be keen to learn and develop their financial skillset.
