Description
The Role:
- Fast-paced Finance Assistant position, reporting into the Financial Controller
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including customer invoices, credit notes, cash receipts and adjustments.
- Maintain financial records and ensure data accuracy in relation to daily cashbook, and cash allocation.
- Bank reconciliation
- Provide support in monthly financial reporting and year-end audit processes.
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.
- Collaborate with other departments on finance-related matters
- Assist in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, month-end reporting and analysis
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Support with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with other departments on finance-related matters, and provide financial information for business decisions when required.
This is initially a 12-month fixed-term role with a high possibility of this being extended or made permanent
Profile
A successful Finance Assistant should have:
- Experience in a similar role is essential
- Experience with Accounts Receivable and general ledgers
- AAT certification or part-qualified, not essential but an advantage
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes (to Trial balance at least)
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong analytical mind.
- Excellent communication and team-working skills.
