Job Summary:
The client is a large, busy, and forward-thinking practice committed to delivering quality patient care.
Position:
The role will be based at our Medical Centre in Leeds. Ideally, the position is for 37 hours per week, but we are also open to applications for part-time hours.
Main Duties:
- Provide a first-class secretarial service to the practice and patients.
- Ensure efficient processing of referral letters, minutes, practice letters, and reports.
- Prepare and produce documents, hospital referrals, and other relevant paperwork.
- Effectively operate the Choose & Book system.
- Maintain an effective system for recording hospital and private referrals.
- Respond to or redirect patient inquiries and requests accordingly.
- Maintain an audit trail for referrals and ensure the referral process is completed by clinicians.
- Undertake information retrieval for the practice and patients as requested.
- Minute meetings as requested.
- Process responses to complaints.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with EMIS and the Choose & Book system.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
