About the role
Working Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm the Assistant Operations Support will liaise closely with the Operational Support Manager and the planning team, to ensure that the correct manning levels and working times are within an achievable timeframe.
You will be responsible for:
- Monitoring capacities within the Terminals and Warehouses so the operational levels are efficient.
- Working collaboratively with the Shift Leaders and engage with all the staff.
- Being fully conversant with DFDS systems and that we meet all legislative requirements to ensure that we are fully compliant.
About you
We are seeking a dynamic individual to support our Operations Support Manager with the allocation, control, and deployment of labour and equipment within allocated timescales. This role involves close collaboration with the Compliance team to ensure DFDS Seaways remains compliant with all operational aspects. The successful candidate will also work closely with the commercial team to manage customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Adaptability is key, as the role requires maintaining optimal efficiency across all areas of the business and monitoring capacities to respond to future operational demands. The position entails liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain and enhance working relationships and engage with all business areas to foster collaborative solutions.

The ideal candidate will remain calm and controlled under pressure, showing patience, understanding, and support.
