Multi-Skilled Plumber

Position: Static Plumber (Mechanical and Multi-Skilled)
Location: Washington, UK( Contract: Based at the BAE)
Salary: upto £37,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
On-call: 1 in 4 weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive maintenance on plumbing, mechanical systems, HVAC units, and building fabric.
  • Carry out PPM tasks according to the maintenance schedule, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in plumbing systems, mechanical equipment, and HVAC units.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work carried out.
  • Coordinate with other maintenance team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 4 weeks) to provide emergency maintenance support, with a standby pay of £150.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification.

Desirable: Additional mechanical qualifications, such as City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC certifications, or equivalent.

  • Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance role, ideally within a commercial or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, mechanical maintenance, HVAC, and building fabric maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently.
