Job Description

  • Monthly management accounts (incl. full balance sheet reconciliation, posting journals, reviewing information provided by team members that feeds into the monthly management accounts), Annual accounts, Audits.
  • Compliance: P11D preparation, Submitting quarterly VAT returns, Construction Industry Scheme.
  • Cash management: Managing cashflow on a daily basis, making decisions relating to customer credit limits, sign off and approval of payment runs.
  • Bank Relationship Management: Liaising with the bank's CRM re: day to day queries and re-financing queries, invoice financing (annual review).
  • Audit management: Coordinating external audits and being the main point of contact for the auditors, preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor queries, and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Insurance: Working with our broker to agree annual policy renewals for all insurances.
  • Pension and Payroll: Monthly pension administration and project work, collaborating with HR on payroll accounting and queries, posting the monthly payroll.
  • People Management: Managing the Accounts team, including supporting with day to day query resolution, managing performance, time and attendance etc., completing regular 1:1s, coaching and mentoring etc.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Previous experience of working in a similar role.
  • Invoice financing & Audit management experience.
  • Technical industry experience (Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing)
  • Sage 200 expertise
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to demonstrate flexibility and agility, as required
