The role- Cover Supervisor

Pay- £100- £150 per day depending on experience

Horizon Teachers partner school are recruiting for three Cover Supervisor's to teach English, Maths and Science lessons in a SEN school located in Wolverhampton. The school supports pupils aged 9 to 16 years who have social, emotional and mental health needs, some pupils also have moderate learning and attachment difficulties. Class sizes are small with no more than six pupils in each teaching group. Lessons are carefully planned and take into account the needs, interests and abilities of all pupils so that learning is more purposeful and engaging. Additional support in the classroom is provided by classroom assistants who work with pupils to build their confidence and self-esteem whilst also supporting their academic, social and developmental needs. The daily duties

  • Supervising work set, using the necessary resources that have been provided
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils in line with school's behaviour policy
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies in line with the school policy and procedures
  • Leaving feedback for the class teacher
