We are seeking a talented and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team in Plymouth. If you have a keen eye for detail, a passion for numbers, and the drive to excel, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Liaise with various departments to gather financial data and ensure accuracy.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the year-end audit process and assist with the preparation of audit schedules.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as required.
Requirements:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with [specific software] is a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and eager to learn and develop professionally
