Job Title: Dietician

Grade: Band 6

Trust: South London and Maudsley NHS Trust

Location: Bethlem Royal Hospital, Monks Orchard Road, Beckenham, Kent, BR3 3BX. Other site visited once or twice a week Lewisham University Hospital.

Ward/Dept: Nutrition and Dietetics

Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri 9.00am - 17.00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic dietitian, to join the Nutrition and Dietetics team at South London and Maudsley NHS Trust in Bethlem Royal Hospital, delivering a service as part of the Intermediate Care Team and Diabetes Team.

All service users have a mental health diagnosis, although dietetically we are providing dietary treatment to support prevention and management of physical health conditions. Referrals are mostly for under-nutrition, underweight and re-feeding syndrome or over-nutrition and metabolic syndrome linked to mental ill health and psychiatric medications especially antipsychotics

Responsibilities of this job role

  • Delivering the SLaM weight management programme and general dietetic care in outpatient clinics to community SLaM patients
  • Providing an inpatient dietetic service to service users across the age range admitted to Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), Acute and rehab wards.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

HCPC registered.

Dietetics degree or equivalent.

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of?
