Jenson Fisher are delighted to be engaged on a retained basis by our Dundee based client to recruit a Senior Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. Our client, a commercial business with firm roots in Dundee with an international reach, are looking to fill this role due to a sustained period of growth and as a newly created position within the team it is in excellent time to join.
As the Senior Accountant you will be in possession of your full accounting qualifications (ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent) and you will oversee a small non-qualified finance team, working closely with the wider business to enable you to deliver first class financial information throughout the reporting calendar. In addition you will be tasked with continuously enhancing processes and procedures alongside maximising the use of financial reporting software within the business.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of monthly management accounts including variance analysis.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts alongside balance sheet reconciliations.
- Project accounting including costing where required and margin analysis.
- Oversee the transactional finance team ensuring that daily entries are processed accurately and on time.
- Closing out the month end process.
- Production of the management information pack to include financial performance, business KPIs which will enable continued growth.
- Communication with people from all angles of the business including those from a non-financial persuasion.
To be considered for this position it is essential that you have the capabilities to perform the tasks outlined above and whilst experience in a commercial area would be advantageous consideration would also be given to someone looking to make their first post-qualified move from an accountancy firm.
In return, the Senior Accountant will receive a competitive salary, to £50,000 alongside bonus, pension contribution and a generous annual leave entitlement amongst other benefits.
