HR Systems Implementation Lead

Posted by Adele Carr Recruitment Limited.

We're looking for an experienced and driven HR Systems Implementation Lead to join a forward-thinking organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a business-critical HR and Payroll system implementation project from start to finish - and then transition into a hands-on HR Systems Specialist role to ensure the new platform is embedded and running smoothly.

The Role:

Initially, you will focus on delivering the implementation of a new HR and Payroll system - ensuring the project is delivered on time, on budget, and in line with business needs. Once live, the role evolves into HR Systems Specialist, where you'll take ownership of the new platform, helping teams get the most out of its functionality while driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementation Phase:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the HR & Payroll system project.
  • Manage data migration with a focus on accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, ICT, and external vendors to define and deliver the right system configuration.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for automation and streamlined processes.
  • Oversee and support system testing, including UAT.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the project team.
  • Maintain project documentation and deliver regular stakeholder updates.

Post-Implementation:

  • Take on the HR Systems Specialist role once the system goes live.
  • Maintain and optimise the platform, ensuring it continues to support business needs.
  • Train and support internal users, acting as the subject matter expert.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Payroll, and Finance to enhance system usage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with providers.

About You:

We're looking for someone who brings both implementation expertise and a passion for continuous improvement. Ideally, you'll have:

  • 3+ years' experience in project management, ideally involving HR systems.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration, UAT, and data migration.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A strong eye for detail and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • A recognised project management qualification.
  • Knowledge of HR and Payroll processes or project tools.

Why Apply?

  • Lead a key project that will shape the future of HR & Payroll operations.
  • Step into a strategic specialist role post-implementation.
  • Join a collaborative team with flexible working and development opportunities.
  • Enjoy a competitive salary, travel allowance, and the chance to make a real impact.

What's Next?

If this sounds like the right next step for you, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now and take on a high-impact role where you can deliver real change.
