Client Manager
Location: Head office Leeds (Role to cover a North West Patch)
The Role
- To manage a designated portfolio of clients and maintain a full working knowledge of all clients.
- Maintaining first-class client relationships, ensuring that excellent levels of service are delivered so that client satisfaction levels remain high.
- To ensure that no client terminates on the grounds of poor service.
- To minimise third-party complaints.
- To ensure that each client is visited at least once a year.
- To undertake a new client visit within 48 hours of commencement and provide the client with structured education about company systems and procedures.
Risk Management
- To ensure the security of company funds at all times, minimising client losses and bad debts.
- To work closely with the Senior Management in reviewing and scrutinising debt collectability and recoverability daily, taking appropriate steps where necessary to safeguard company security.
- To provide regular feedback to the Senior Management about any client issues that may impact upon client security or client retention.
- To request client audits where appropriate and to respond to audit recommendations promptly.
- To undertake regular client reviews to maintain a detailed knowledge of our client's businesses to ensure that they are operating within the terms of the Invoice Finance Agreement and making appropriate recommendations to the Credit Committee.
- To maintain an effective office diary and filing system
- To ensure that service and discount charge income levels are maintained.
- To ensure that additional fee income opportunities are identified and maximised.
- To identify opportunities within the portfolio for the increase and up-take of credit protection.
- To identify and introduce new business opportunities where appropriate.
- To supervise all new debtor account applications with assistance from your Client Executive.
- To liaise with clients to establish funding limits required to meet their needs and communicate any outcomes of these requests.
- To ensure top debtors are monitored using the appropriate systems and procedures.
- To ensure that all clients are monitored using the appropriate systems and procedures.
- To maintain our Credit Insurance policy and ensure all requirements are met in a timely manner.
- To oversee and ensure that all actions and assistance required for the collection and recovery of a terminated clients current account including fees are actioned.
- To maintain and build relationships with external partners to assist in the recovery and actions involved in a collect out scenario, including Insolvency Practitioners and Solicitors.
Training and Development
- To have and contribute towards your personal development plan
- To provide staff training where appropriate.
Skills
- Must have experience of managing a portfolio of Trade Finance, Invoice Finance or Construction Finance clients
