MIG Welder
Job Description
Starting on dayshift for induction and training before moving onto a 2-shift rotation this person must be a confident TIG welder able to read engineering drawings without assistance.
Duties
- Reading engineering drawings without assistance
- The work ranges from day to day using many different material types and thicknesses ranging from 0.9m - 5mm mild steel, 1mm - 10mm aluminium & 1mm - 3mm stainless steel.
- This role will predominately involve working with stainless steel.
- The candidate should have at least 12 months welding experience in sheet metal or similar type environment
- Must be comfortable reading and interpreting weld symbols. Must be able to work free hand as well as using jigs and fixtures

Location: Shildon
Hours of work: 38.5 hours a week
Dayshift - Mon-Thurs 8am:5pm
Friday - 8am- 12:30pm
2 shift rotation:
Mon - Thurs 2:30pm - 11:00pm
Friday - 12:30pm - 7:00pm
Mon-Thurs 6:00am - 2:30pm
Friday 6:00am - 12:30pm
Rates of pay: £16.80
