Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Scunthorpe area
Salary: £12.83 - £14.83 per hour
Type: Part-time, Afternoon's only, Term-time only
Working Hours: 12:00 - 15:15, Monday to Friday
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School school in the Scunthorpe area. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will support a pupil with an EHCP You will also be responsible for ensuring they remains on task within the classroom. This is a part time role (afternoon's only) and long term starting in September until at least December 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Offering support to a pupil on a 1:1 basis within and outside of the classroom.
- Monitoring behaviour, identifying and addressing challenging behaviour.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the pupil.
- Providing guidance and support to the pupil, ensuring their welfare is protected.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, learning support, or working with challenging behaviour.
- Reliability and stability for the pupil.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Teaching Assistant Qualification
- The ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- A caring and nurturing personality.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- A valid DBS check.
