Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Burnley, Lancashire

Pay Bracket: £32,000 - £36,000 + Benefits

We are working within a family-owned wholesale and distribution who are looking for an experienced finance professional to join their team in Burnley.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business with excellent working culture and exposure opportunities. Directly working the Site Director and FD, this role's mission is to deliver consistent and accurate accounts - having responsibility over the company's finances and management accounts. This is a hands-on role where you will need to be able to perform across a spectrum.

Your main roles and responsibilities:

  • Managing the company's accounts payable function.
  • Maintain accurate records for all daily transactions and processed purchase invoices.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory booked in and out of stock.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports.
  • Ensure completion of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Assist in financial audits.
  • Review and implement local financial procedures, where required.
  • Manage and develop direct reports.

The ideal candidate will have:

For success it's vital that the candidate has a strong knowledge of transactional duties and some exposure to management with this role having 3 direct reports. A strong fit for the position will be someone with sound technical ability, having confidence in Excel using Pivot Tables and V-lookups.

  • Minimum experience of 3 years in accounting
  • Experience using Excel is key
  • Management or Supervisor experience is key
  • Someone who is in later stages of study whether ACCA or CIMA
  • Must be willing to travel to Chorley on a regular basis
  • Strong time management skills
