My client is seeking a Management Accountant to help provide accurate and timely financial information, supporting the achievement of the company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will deliver proactive initiatives to improve profitability, reduce costs, and enhance efficiencies, characterised by timely and accurate management information.
Day to Day of the role:
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and reporting packs, including KPIs, sales stats, and financial commentary.
- Manage the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans, ensuring alignment with group timetables.
- Oversee the submission of statutory returns and manage the working capital position to maximise net free cash flow.
- Provide decision support to the management team and CFO, offering insights to improve profitability and reduce costs.
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts and liaise with group auditors.
- Attend company management meetings to provide financial support and evaluate financial aspects of NPD and promotions.
- Manage treasury functions and monthly manufacturing costing runs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant accounting qualification, minimum part qualified ACCA
- 3 – 5 years' experience in a finance function.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and proficiency with SAP systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills with sound numeric skills.
Essential:
- Knowledge of the distribution and FMCG business sector.
- ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Experience in manufacturing accounting.
