Transport Manager
You're a Transport Leader with operational experience of running and overseeing all aspects of a van and HGV fleet in a multi-site organisation. As a National CPC Qualification holder, you'll have responsibility for the company's Operators Licence and a good understanding of FORS legislation (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) and the associated yearly audits.
You understand the need for health and safety compliance as well as cost effective maintenance solutions and have a wealth of experience adhering to vehicle service and maintenance schedules in accordance with standards set out by the DVSA.
It goes without saying that you'll have strong organisation ability as well be computer literate with good communication skills enabling you to interact effectively with your internal and external stakeholders.
You'll promote safety through ensuring compliance with HSE legislation, liaising with relevant regulatory bodies, updating policies and procedures and keeping all staff and stakeholders informed of any changes and compliance requirements.
First Call Traffic Management has three depots based in Newmarket, Norwich and South Mimms. Although you won't have direct line management duties in this role, you will be working with an operational team of approximately 12 across the three sites and be responsible for a team of two contracted Fitters. You'll report directly in to the CEO.
This is a full time role, and the successful candidate can be based from Newmarket (preferred depot) or Norwich although there will be a need for travel between all three sites.

First Call Traffic Management was created 13 years ago as a division of BML Utilities. We identified a need for quality, professional efficient traffic management services and so created our own. As we have grown, we have developed both High Speed and Urban Traffic Management solutions, and currently work out of three separate depots - South Mimms, Newmarket and Norwich.
Our Urban Traffic Management Solutions covers Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Essex and Kent and our High Speed covers areas around the M25, M11 and East Anglia. Our South Mimms depot undertakes Civil, Urban and High Speed work and completes activities in central London on behalf of Telent and TFL.
