The Role
We are currently looking for GI Share Claims Handlers to work in a result orientated, quality controlled environment where being able to work with a high level of accuracy to prescribed processes and strict deadlines is essential. You will be working as part of a high-quality team.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- · Gather and review relevant evidence from various sources required to assess the outcome of the case.
- · Evaluate the eligibility of customers to file claims based on regulatory guidance and internal processes, considering criteria related to general investment share sales within specific periods and time limits.
- · Reviewing various share trading methods, including principal trading, agency trading, and execution-only trades.
- · Conduct calculations to determine the appropriate level of compensation for eligible claims.
- · Apply corporate actions, such as share subdivisions and consolidations, to ensure accurate compensation calculations.
- · Utilise restructure databases and ICE information to address claims involving corporate actions.
- · Where required, liaise with relevant 3rd parties via phone
- · Produce required response/ decision letters
- · Work with a claims management workflow system
- · Ensure data protection remains a focus
Experience / Skills Required:
Essential
- · Previous case handling experience, within Financial Services is preferrable.
- · Previous experience in conducting thorough suitability assessments, including evaluating attitude to risk, reviewing and investigating customer profiles, and preferably familiarity with AIM shares and high-risk shares.
- · Proficiency in quantifying losses to determine appropriate compensation levels, considering factors such as share value at purchase date, sale price, and quantification price.
- · Knowledge of share types e.g. main market shares, AIM shares would be beneficial.
- · Experience of dealing with customers in a regulated environment
- · Ability to demonstrate decision making using a holistic approach
- · PC skills (Word and Excel)

- · Ability to work to demanding deadlines (workflow & time management)
- · Ability to attain and maintain specified quality and production targets
