Can you plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons across various subjects to students of KS3/KS4?

Do you possess a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for secondary or an equivalent teaching certification?

Can you adapt and modify lesson plans to accommodate individual student needs and learning styles?

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to provide versatile teaching across various subjects to secondary school students, ensuring their holistic development and academic success. You will have the opportunity to inspire and empower students, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in their academic pursuits and beyond.

We're currently looking for a committed teacher to join our educational team in Blackburn, offering support to students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this role varies from £155 to £230, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management

Personal attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
