Technical Accountant
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 pa
Location: London (Hybrid)
Finitas are working with this leading London Market Insurer in their search for a Technical Accountant to join the team.
You will oversee the implementation of risk control matrices in Finance, independently installing controls to mitigate risks. Your responsibilities include preparing consortium-specific accounting processes and Syndicate annual accounts for Lloyd's.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with UK/US GAAP and disclosure requirements, communicating developments to the UK finance team and audit committees quarterly.
- Present monthly updates on technical accounting hot topics to the group.
- Manage and annually update all technical accounting memos to ensure accuracy.
- Periodically review and develop key controls for company-wide functions, creating new controls as new risks emerge.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA)
- Insurance Accounting background
