Accounts Receivable Officer

What you'll be doing:

  • Posting receipts from the Rent Cash Sheets i.e. Standing Orders, Chip and Pin Payments and Completion Monies
  • Investigating and resolving rent and sales ledger queries
  • Actioning rent tasks raised via the housing system
  • Investigating items posted to suspense and re-allocating to correct rent account
  • Responsibility for chasing missing housing benefit schedules with Local Authorities and other parties
  • Raising Sales Ledger invoices, credit notes and intercompany invoices
  • Raising automatic invoices on financial system
  • Credit control including sending reminder letters
  • Producing customer statements
  • Allocating sales leger cash receipts
  • Answering queries from the shared Accounts Receivable inbox within the SLA timescale
  • Complete Month end Procedures within the SLA timescale
  • Liaise with internal and external customers in order to resolve sales ledger and rent ledger queries
  • Assisting other team members where necessary

What you'll need:

  • Account Receivable and/or Sale ledger experience
  • Experience of cross organisational working and engaging stakeholders
  • Use of full range of Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • The ability to find information and resolve problems
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
