Job Specification: Java/GCP Developer (6-Month Contract)

Position Title: Java/GCP Developer

Contract Duration: 6 Months Rolling Contract

Location: London - Hybrid

Daily Rate: £783 per day (via umbrella company)

Client: Banking Client

Job Summary:

We are supporting a leading banking client in their search for an experienced Java/GCP Developer for a 6-month contract based in London. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java development and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and have extensive experience in financial services. This role is hybrid, combining both on-site and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

Development and Maintenance:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications.
  • Implement and optimize GCP-based solutions.
  • Ensure the robustness, scalability, and reliability of applications.

Key Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Core Java, Spring, MVC, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
  • Proficient in RESTful services and GCP cloud experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Experience with Terraform, Cloud Build, Kubernetes, and other automation tools.
  • Good understanding of Big Table, Big Query, and basic Dataflow.

Education:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
